Edinburgh was the capital of Scotland for quite a while. It if full of culture, tradition, and a whole lot of good food. To get the best experience possible, my brother, sister-in-law, and I attended a walking food tour with Eat Walk Edinburgh!
We started off eating an appetizer of Salmon and Horseradish in
Bedlam (Hotel Du Vin & Bistro). It was once part of the infamous Bedlam. It was basically an asylum for those with mental illnesses. Many a crazy quote from the UK went along the lines of "You'll drive me to Bedlam!".

Then, we walked to the Grass Market. Pretty much self-explanatory, but it was where the animals that ate grass were sold and traded.

Next, came the Royal Mile. It is the street that stretches from old Edinburgh Castle to the Queen's Castle, which is where the Queen of England stay when she is in residence.
The Royal Mile is also where we heard the tale Deacon Brodie, who is an infamous thief. He would sell his goods to a customer, and then steal them back at night!

We also walked down an alleyway that included quotes from the Famous Writers of Scotland and then stopped at Makar's Rest for Gin and Venison appetizers. Oh we also had black pudding!

Of course in Scotland, you have to learn how to drink Whisky properly, and we leared at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Of course, you have to have Haggis, Nips and Tatties as well. It is actually amazing. Don't judge it because of how it is made. it is delicious!
Then, we attended the French District and had some wine, cheese, at meat at Le Di Vin.
Finally, we ended the day with a view of the Edinburgh Castle at Ghillie Dhu and ate some great desserts!
If you have any questions about Edinburgh, please feel free to ask. Edinburgh is now one of my favorite cities in the world!
